چکیده
Purpose: This study investigates the anti-melanogenic effects of lotus seed and seedpod extract in B16F10 murine melanoma cells, demonstrates possible mechanisms involved anti-pigmentation.Methods: The extracts were prepared using 70% ethanol as solvent. irritation potential was investigated water-soluble tetrazolium salt (WST-1)-based cytotoxicity assay expression analysis pro-inflammatory cytokine IL1β cells HaCaT keratinocytes, respectively. analyzed intracellular melanin contents tyrosinase activity assays. on at mRNA protein levels. those stability by evaluating level after cycloheximide treatment. Results: WST-1-based indicated that concentration ≤1.0% for did not exhibit any cells. Also, qRT-PCR showed IL-1β mRNAs increased concentrations keratinocytes. Additionally, significantly inhibited α-MSH-induced synthesis. Furthermore, cellular extracts. Additional investigations revealed reduction independent its level, but dependent level. These findings further confirmed results experiments stating reduced treatment with extracts. Conclusion: Lotus anti-pigmentation accelerating degradation post-translation
