Background/Aim. Amalgam has been used for years in dentistry, but the controversy on its adverse effects, both local oral/dental tissues and systemic health, still exists. When retrograde filling apical surgery, amalgam comes close contact with periapical tissue, it is sometimes responsible induction of lesion (PL) or exacerbation. Therefore, aim study was to examine effect cytotoxicity production pro-inflammatory cytokine by cells isolated from PL. Methods.
