Anosmia and dysgeusia associated with COVID-19 infection among patients visiting a tertiary hospital at Kaski, Nepal

Introduction: A number of studies have shown that anosmia and dysgeusia present as symptoms COVID-19. These can appear with sudden onset following COVID-19 infection. The objective the study was to observe epidemiological clinical profile patients who had experienced dysgeusia. Methods: cross-sectional carried out in Ear, Nose Throat outpatient department Pokhara Academy Health Sciences over a period two months, from February 2022 March 2022. Patients visiting were enquiredabout infection status past related taste smell impairment asked about. Results: Out total 198 patients, 141 (71%) smell, either one or both, while rest did not develop such features after testing positive for virus. Conclusions: Anosmia common
