Among these presents are two which most likely contained gold. One of the members of the Indian delegation carries a pole over his shoulders from which two baskets are hanging filled with two bags each. From the degree of bending of ...

High Reliefs from 3D Scenes

We present a method for synthesizing high reliefs, a sculpting technique that attaches 3D objects onto a 2D surface within a limited depth range. The main challenges are the preservation of distinct scene parts by preserving depth discontinuities, the fine details of the shape, and the overall continuity of the scene. Bas relief depth compression methods such as gradient compression and depth r...

Individualized Medicine from Prewomb to Tomb

That each of us is truly biologically unique, extending to even monozygotic, "identical" twins, is not fully appreciated. Now that it is possible to perform a comprehensive "omic" assessment of an individual, including one's DNA and RNA sequence and at least some characterization of one's proteome, metabolome, microbiome, autoantibodies, and epigenome, it has become abundantly clear that each o...

3D Modeling Study Using 3D Laser Scanning Data Based on Xuzhou Turtle Mountain Han Tomb

Using three-dimensional laser scanner system to measure the Turtle Mountain Han tomb and obtained the point cloud. To the noise points and large holes on the surface, this paper first present an approach that based on the basic principle of least-squares to eliminate the noise points. Then on the basis that there is certain continuity between the holes and their surrounding surface, an approach...
