چکیده
Abstract In this paper, several analytical models are presented for the optimal design of a trapezoidal composite channel cross-section. The objective function is cost per unit length channel, which includes excavation and lining costs. To define system, variables including depth, width, side slopes, freeboard, roughness coefficients were used. constraints include Manning’s equation, flow velocity, Froude number, water surface width. Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approximation (SPSA) algorithm was used to solve optimization problem. results in three parts; first part, values different discharges. second relationship between discharges form conceptual mathematical functions. Finally, third changes as graph based on discharge variations. Results indicate that increases with increasing left slope, equivalent coefficient, freeboard.

Analytical Solution for Free Vibration of a Variable Cross-Section Nonlocal Nanobeam
In this article, small scale effects on free vibration analysis of non-uniform nanobeams is discussed. Small scale effects are modelled after Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory while the non-uniformity is presented by exponentially varying width among the beams length with constant thickness. Analytical solution is achieved for free vibration with different boundary conditions. It is shown th...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Flow Characteristics of Partially Vegetated Trapezoidal Channel Cross-section with Flexible Vegetation
An important feature of most rivers and canals is their habitats for a rich of aquatic vegetation which is extremely important from an environmental and ecological point of view. These variations in habitat mean that it is rare to find a cross-section of a natural channel which has the same roughness along its perimeter. In these channels, flow conditions lead to a complex flow situation with i...

Conformation by electrochemistry Electrochemistry is rarely thought of as a technique for determining structures of biomolecules. Nevertheless, because it is a much simpler and less expensive method than traditional structure-determining approaches such as NMR, MS, and X-ray diffraction, electrochemistry is certainly worth developing for conformational analysis. This is exacdy what Janet G. Ost...
متن کاملBoundary Shear Stress in a Trapezoidal Channel
This paper focuses on a hydraulic radius separation approach used to calculate the boundary shear stress in terms of bed and wall shear stress proposed in a trapezoidal channel. The average bed and sidewall shear stress in smooth trapezoidal open channels are derived after using Guo & Julien (2005) early equations taking a part of an investigation to cover both rectangular and trapezoidal chann...
