Analytical growth functions for cosmic structures in a ΛCDM Universe

چکیده

The cosmological fluid equations describe the early gravitational dynamics of cold dark matter (CDM), exposed to a uniform component energy, constant $\Lambda$. Perturbative predictions for typically assume that impact $\Lambda$ on CDM can be encapsulated by refined growing mode $D$ linear density fluctuations. Here we solve, arbitrary high perturbative orders, nonlinear with an {\it Ansatz} variables in increasing powers $D$. We show begins populate solutions starting at fifth order this strict $D$-expansion. By applying suitable resummation techniques, recast these standard series where not $D$, but essentially initial potential serves as bookkeeping parameter within expansion. Then, using growth functions second and third perturbation theory, determine power spectrum one-loop accuracy well leading-order contribution bispectrum. find employing our impacts total power- bispectra precision is below one percent late times. However, spectrum, characteristic scale-dependent suppression fairly similar what observed massive neutrino cosmologies. Therefore, recommend reduce theoretical uncertainties analysing data related pipelines.

Voids in a ΛCDM Universe

We study the formation and evolution of voids in the dark matter distribution using various simulations of the popular Λ Cold Dark Matter cosmogony. We identify voids by requiring them to be regions of space with a mean overdensity of −0.8 or less – roughly the equivalent of using a Spherical Overdensity group finder for haloes. Each of the simulations contains thousands of voids. The distribut...

Black Hole Growth and Activity in a Λcdm Universe

The observed properties of supermassive black holes suggest a fundamental link between their assembly and the formation of their host spheroids. We model the growth and activity of black holes in galaxies using ΛCDM cosmological hydrodynamic simulations by following the evolution of the baryonic mass component in galaxy potential wells. We find that the observed steep relation between black hol...

Disk Galaxy Formation in a Λcdm Universe

We describe hydrodynamical simulations of galaxy formation in a Λ cold dark matter (CDM) cosmology performed using a subresolution model for star formation and feedback in a multiphase interstellar medium (ISM). In particular, we demonstrate the formation of a well-resolved disk galaxy. The surface brightness profile of the galaxy is exponential, with a B-band central surface brightness of 21.0...

Inter–cluster filaments in a ΛCDM Universe

The large–scale structure (LSS) in the Universe comprises a complicated filamentary network of matter. We study this network using a high–resolution simulation of structure formation of a Λ Cold Dark Matter cosmology. We investigate the distribution of matter between neighbouring large haloes whose masses are comparable to massive clusters of galaxies. We identify a total of 228 filaments betwe...

Proto-clusters in the Λcdm Universe

We compare the highly clustered populations of very high redshift galaxies with proto-clusters identified numerically in a standard ΛCDM universe (Ω0 = 0.3, λ0 = 0.7) simulation. We evolve 2563 dark matter particles in a comoving box of side 150h−1Mpc. By the present day there are 63 cluster sized objects of mass in excess of 10hM⊙ in this box. We trace these clusters back to higher redshift fi...
