چکیده
The need for additive manufacturing (3D printing) to create near net shape components from a wide variety of materials has grown in recent years. There are several methods build various parts by different materials. However, it is challenging construct, the with incompatible combination high temperature and creep resistance using conventional methods. Consequently, purpose this research investigate use solid state welding (friction welding) (SSAM) materials, namely alloy Cr18-Ni8 42CrMo4 low alternative layers. interface bonding strength must be strengthened achieve desired isotropic characteristics components. Printability of alloys for additive manufacturing
Although additive manufacturing (AM), or three dimensional (3D) printing, provides significant advantages over existing manufacturing techniques, metallic parts produced by AM are susceptible to distortion, lack of fusion defects and compositional changes. Here we show that the printability, or the ability of an alloy to avoid these defects, can be examined by developing and testing appropriate...
متن کاملSurface/Interface Effects on High-Performance Thin-Film All-Solid-State Li-Ion Batteries.
The further development of all-solid-state batteries is still limited by the understanding/engineering of the interfaces formed upon cycling. Here, we correlate the morphological, chemical, and electrical changes of the surface of thin-film devices with Al negative electrodes. The stable Al-Li-O alloy formed at the stress-free surface of the electrode causes rapid capacity fade, from 48.0 to 41...

Phase transition of Fe–18Cr–8Ni, Fe–15Cr–15Ni and Fe–15Cr–25Ni alloys during mechanical alloying (MA) and after subsequent annealing as studied. For Fe–18Cr–8Ni and Fe–15Cr–15Ni the resulting structure by MA was a nanostructured single-phase BCC solid solution ( ) which iffers from that predicted from equilibrium phase diagram. Furthermore, the equilibrium structure was not achieved after heat ...
متن کاملBig Area Additive Manufacturing of High Performance Bonded NdFeB Magnets
Additive manufacturing allows for the production of complex parts with minimum material waste, offering an effective technique for fabricating permanent magnets which frequently involve critical rare earth elements. In this report, we demonstrate a novel method - Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM) - to fabricate isotropic near-net-shape NdFeB bonded magnets with magnetic and mechanical prop...
