This article describes a new compact parasitic patch-loaded transparent patch antenna with copper ground plane for wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) and 5thgeneration (5G) millimeter-wave (mm-wave) applications. The proposed uses two rectangular patches main radiation patch. L-shaped strips are also added to the one of cover both sub-6 GHz beyond 6 mm-wave 5G frequency spectrums. same solar is built, its effect parametrically studied alongside integration polycrystalline silicon cell. antennas dimension 42x30x2 mm23 fabricated experimentally validated impedance characteristics. Rate-Optimal Power and Bandwidth Allocation in an Integrated Sub-6 GHz – Millimeter Wave Architecture
In millimeter wave (mmWave) systems, energy is a scarce resource due to the large channel losses and high energy usage by analog-to-digital converters. To mitigate this issue, we propose an integrated architecture that combines the sub-6 GHz and mmWave technologies. We investigate the power and bandwidth allocation jointly across the interfaces in order to maximize the achievable sum rate under...

In mobile millimeter wave (mmWave) systems, energy is a scarce resource due to the large losses in the channel and high energy usage by analog-to-digital converters (ADC), which scales with bandwidth. In this paper, we consider a communication architecture that integrates the sub-6 GHz and mmWave technologies in 5G cellular systems. In order to mitigate the energy scarcity in mmWave systems, we...

We propose a hybrid RF/millimeter wave (mmWave) architecture for 5G cellular systems. Communication in the mmWave band faces significant challenges due to variable channels, intermittent connectivity, and high energy usage. Moreover, speeds for electronic processing of data is of the same order as typical rates for mmWave interface. Therefore, the use of complex algorithms for tracking channel ...

Emerging wireless services such as augmented reality require next-generation wireless networks to support ultrareliable and low-latency communication (URLLC), while also guaranteeing high data rates. Existing wireless networks that solely rely on the scarce sub-6 GHz, microwave (μW) frequency bands will be unable to meet the low-latency, high capacity requirements of future wireless services du...

Designing and developing a millimetre-wave (mmWave) based mobile Radio Access Technology (RAT) in the 6-100 GHz frequency range is a fundamental component in the standardization of the new 5G radio interface, recently kicked off by 3GPP. Such component, herein called the new mmWave RAT, will not only enable extreme mobile broadband (eMBB) services, but also support UHD/3D streaming, offer immer...
