Analysis of Online Turkish Language Instructor Competencies by Fuzzy Delphi and Analytical Hierarchy Process

Distance and online education have required instructors to acquire new skills competencies for language teaching. This research aimed determine Turkish instructor competencies. It comprised two stages in which Fuzzy Delphi Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods were used. In the first stage, 52 under seven categories compiled from literature by applying technique. second AHP method was used significance weight of There five “technical” category, three “individual” six “management planning” “material” nine “communication” eight “learner autonomy” four “privacy security” category. The findings suggested that essential competence, “pedagogical” competence more critical than competence. Furthermore, it revealed did not regard “autonomy” as also can be inferred instructors’ considered very important.
