چکیده
Bengkulu City has a high liquefaction rate, both geologically and geophysically. This is because consists of rocks in the form sand, silt, mud, clay, coral fragments gravel alluvial areas (Qa) floodplains. Terrace formation (Qat). study aims to analyze potential using seismic waves City, resulting layer profile (Vs) obtained from Vs30 soil classification with potential. was conducted PASI 16S-24P seismograph, set equipment used area, which Vs profiles derived 24 geophones 4 m 8 away each location. Then, RMS error standard deviation values were generated. The result MASW analysis data describes subsoil that can be classified into zones. Soil results at site show different classes, namely B, C, D E. Liquefaction analyzed profiles. It shows existence layers city area. seen dominated by sand gravel, causing very liquefaction, especially Surabaya where have soft sensitivity 134.0 171.0 m/s. highly sensitive liquefaction. Lempuing Rawa Makmur sub-districts generally medium potential, Teluk Sepang sub-district area low

Shear-Wave Velocity–Based Probabilistic and Deterministic Assessment of Seismic Soil Liquefaction Potential
Shear-wave velocity (Vs) offers a means to determine the seismic resistance of soil to liquefaction by a fundamental soil property. This paper presents the results of an 11-year international project to gather new Vs site data and develop probabilistic correlations for seismic soil liquefaction occurrence. Toward that objective, shear-wave velocity test sites were identified, and measurements m...
متن کاملEvaluating the Liquefaction Potential of Soil in the South and Southeast of Tehran based on the Shear Wave Velocity through Empirical Relationships
The liquefaction resistance of soil can be evaluated using laboratory tests such as cyclic simple shear, cyclic triaxial, cyclic torsional shear as well as field methods like Standard Penetration Test (SPT), Cone Penetration Test (CPT) and Shear Wave Velocity (Vs). In this regard, this study attempts to compare the results of the SPT based on the simplified procedure proposed by Seed and Idriss...
متن کاملA Workshop on Microzonation ©Interline Publishing, Bangalore Support Vector Machine for Evaluating Seismic Liquefaction Potential Using Shear Wave Velocity
The use of the shear wave velocity data as a field index for evaluating the liquefaction potential of sands is receiving increased attention because both shear wave velocity and liquefaction resistance are similarly influenced by many of the same factors such as void ratio, state of stress, stress history and geologic age. In this paper, the potential of support vector machines (SVM) based clas...
متن کاملLiquefaction Opportunity Mapping via Seismic Wave Energy
An empirical, energy-based methodology for liquefaction hazard assessment and microzonation mapping is presented. The approach is probabilistic, considers the uncertainty in the liquefaction criterion, and is applicable to most earthquake-induced liquefaction analyses. The examples illustrated are for water-saturated sands at level ground. The energy of ground shaking is estimated from the Four...
متن کاملGlobal Shear Wave Velocity Database for Probabilistic Assessment of the Initiation of Seismic-Soil Liquefaction
Engineering practitioners commonly use penetration-based methods (SPT & CPT) for assessment of seismic liquefaction triggering hazard. On the horizon, shear wave velocity (Vs) may offer engineers a third tool that is lower cost and provides more physically meaningful measurements. Development of the shear wave velocity liquefaction method has been hampered by a paucity of published velocity pro...
