Analysis of Lifeboat Embarkation Efficiency for Cruise Passengers under Multiple Scenarios

Lifeboats are important equipment to ensure the safety of passengers when a serious accident occurs in ship. Higher efficiency lifeboat embarkation is beneficial improving passenger survival. This study divides into queuing and seat selection stages studies process cruise passengers. According characteristics two process, transfer rules queue activity proposed. Combined with rules, 16 types simulation scenarios established. The results show that group lower than individual passenger. When select seats from outboard row inboard row, speed faster random seating selection. Compared only considering length, more efficient if also consider availability lifeboats they between queues. analysis proves can be improved through proper guidance on behavior
