Abstract The turbine blade generally works in severe aerodynamic environments such as high temperature and pressure. Various forms of secondary flow, unsteady potential periodic wake the passage, strong interactions among these flow structures affect efficiency seriously. This paper performs a numerical simulation T106 cascade to investigate characteristics performance under interaction between upstream leakage flow. with without are decomposed by proper orthogonal decomposition, mode obtained. results indicate that can significantly reduce energy loss channel tip has greater impact region near shroud plane. According second seventh modes account for 96.14% total except time-averaged mode. is identified increase vorticity region. harmonics greatly affected especially at trailing edge
