Analysis of Genetic Diversity among Brassica juncea Genotypes using Morpho-physiological and SSR Markers

Indian mustard has the share of over 80% to total rapeseed-mustard production in country. Present investigation is conducted guesstimate possible presence diversity among 38 germplasm lines and 5 cultivated varieties by using 12 morpho-physiological parameters as well microsatellite markers. Phenotypic analysis variance for yield its attributing traits revealed that, genotypes taken this had significant amount genetic variation. Variances due were highly all characters except numbers primary branches per plant, siliqua length, seeds/siliqua 1000-seed weight. In our study, a eleven polymorphic SSR molecular markers used showed sufficiently high sensitivity detect DNA polymorphisms. Information generated from current study would be helpful improvement means conventional and/or breeding impending days.
