چکیده
In this paper, we study a class of spatially coupled turbo codes, namely partially information- and parity-coupled codes. This codes enjoy several advantages such as flexible code rate adjustment by varying the coupling ratio encoding decoding architectures underlying component can remain unchanged. For work, first provide construction methods for with memory m corresponding graph models. We then derive density evolution equations ensembles on binary erasure channel to precisely compute their iterative thresholds. Rate-compatible designs thresholds are also provided, where puncturing ratios jointly optimized achieve largest threshold given target rate. Our results show that wide range rates, proposed attain close-to-capacity performance improves increasing memory. particular, have within 0.0002 BEC capacity rates ranging from 1/3 9/10, yielding an attractive way constructing rate-compatible capacity-approaching

متن کاملPartially Systematic Rate 1/2 Turbo Codes
Partially systematic parallel concatenated (turbo) codes of rate 1/2 are considered. These are generated from a classical rate 1/3 turbo code by puncturing both the parity bits and the systematic bits. The so-called “error-floors” of the resulting codes are lower than those of their systematic counterparts. For some puncturing patterns, even the “waterfall region” is shifted to lower signal-to-...
متن کاملInformation-Coupled Turbo Codes for LTE Systems
We propose a new class of information-coupled (IC) Turbo codes to improve the transport block (TB) error rate performance for long-term evolution (LTE) systems, while keeping the hybrid automatic repeat request protocol and the Turbo decoder for each code block (CB) unchanged. In the proposed codes, every two consecutive CBs in a TB are coupled together by sharing a few common information bits....
متن کاملCoupled Vibration of Partially Fluid-Filled Laminated Composite Cylindrical Shells
In this study, the free vibration of partially fluid-filled laminated composite circular cylindrical shell with arbitrary boundary conditions has been investigated by using Rayleigh-Ritz method. The analysis has been carried out with strain-displacement relations based on Love’s thin shell theory and the contained fluid is assumed irrotational, incompressible and inviscid. After determining the...
متن کاملComparison of Turbo Codes and Low Density Parity Check Codes
The most powerful channel coding schemes, namely, those based on turbo codes and LPDC (Low density parity check) codes have in common principle of iterative decoding. Shannon’s predictions for optimal codes would imply random like codes, intuitively implying that the decoding operation on these codes would be prohibitively complex. A brief comparison of Turbo codes and LDPC codes will be given ...
