Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Berdasarkan Teori APOS (Action, Process, Object, Schema) Ditinjau dari Gaya Kognitif Field Dependent dan Field Independent

This study aims to describe and analyze students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on theory of APOS (Action, Peocess, Object, Schema) in terms Field Dependent Independent Cognitive Style. It is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects are 34 students class XI MIPA 1 SMA Nurul Islam Jember, they grouped cognitive style, 24 having field independent style 10 dependent style. method data collection use a GEFT (Group Embedded Figure Test), test abilities, , interviews. results the analysis ability interviews showed that at action stage, (FI) tended be able explain meaning information questions even though did not write down what knew. Students (FD) tend contained questions, but have difficulty explaining questions. At process FI FD model stages well, still has errors resulting model. object work freely, while detail or fixated completely arranged steps, also back their work. schema how stage used stage. In general, problems free complete detailed an analytical nature, so sort out important math bound steps manner.
