Analgesic efficacy of Transverse Abdomen Plane Block in Kidney Transplantation

چکیده

Introduction: The transversus abdominis plane anesthetic block (TAP Block) technique was first introduced in 2001 by Rafi to promote anterolateral abdominal wall analgesia. This involves the T7-L1, subcostal, ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerves. Kidney transplant recipients are candidates for this blocking method, since surgical access kidney implant allows exposure of nerve plexus, responsible parietal component pain, allowing its blockade under direct vision. Objectives:To analyze analgesic efficacy TAP Block x local infiltration transplantation three different moments: upon awakening after 6h with 24h rest sitting down using visual analogue pain scale evaluation. Methods:Prospective, randomized, double-blind study two groups, control group: standard balanced general anesthesia infusion subcutaneous tissue; experimental: directly through access. These groups were evaluated postoperatively a researcher who unaware type procedure patient underwent. Candidates participate patients from General Transplant Unit, located at Instituto de Medicina Integral Prof. Fernando Figueira (IMIP). Results: 45 allocated study. After exclusions, 20 group 21 experimental analyzed. No clinical or demographic characteristics statistically significant. In group, 72.6 % reported moderate/severe awakening, while moderate severe present only 7.4 p<0.001. 06h assessment, there significant difference relation scores between groups: 59.8 15 respectively, p < 0.007. There no statistical static dynamic evaluation period. Conclusion: Balanced associated proved be effective reducing initial 6h, being, as expected, less 24-hour

Analgesic Efficacy of Surgeon-assisted Transverse Abdominis Plane Block in Patients Undergoing Open Cholecystectomy

Background: Unavailability of ultrasound and unpredictable success with traditional blind technique makes Transversus Abdominis Plane Block under-utilized in developing country like India. Aims & Objective: The present study was designed to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of Surgeon-assisted Transversus Abdominis Plane Block as an adjuvant to routine analgesic in reducing pain score during firs...

[The analgesic efficacy of transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block].

The transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is a novel approach for blocking the abdominal wall neural afferents via the bilateral lumbar triangles of Petit. It was described for the first time in 2007 by McDonnell et al. We applied the technique after the original methodology of the authors. We evaluated its analgesic efficacy first 24 postoperative hours of patients, undergoing to surgical an...

Analgesic efficacy of ultrasound-guided subcostal transversus abdominis plane block

BACKGROUND To evaluate the analgesic efficacy on defined areas of the abdomen and back after ultrasound-guided subcostal transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block using 0.25% levobupivacaine 0.5 mL/kg. METHODS Twenty patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy, between 20 and 60 years of age with operative time <1 hour, received subcostal TAP block using 0.25% levobupivacaine 0.5 ...

The analgesic effect of the ultrasound-guided transverse abdominis plane block after laparoscopic cholecystectomy

BACKGROUND Several methods are performed to control the pain after a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Recently, the transverse abdominis plane block has been proposed to compensate for the problems developed by preexisting methods. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of the ultrasound-guided transverse abdominis plane block (US-TAP block) and compare efficacy according to the concentrat...

The analgesic effect of ultrasound-guided transverse abdominis plane block after laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernia repair

BACKGROUND The ultrasound-guided transverse abdominis plane block (TAPB) reduces postoperative pain after laparoscopic abdominal surgery. But, its effect post laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernia repair (TEP) is not clear. In this study, we evaluated the analgesic effect of ultrasound-guided TAPB in TEP. METHODS In this prospective, randomized study, forty adult patients (ASA I-II) sch...
