Anaerobic co-digestion of sewage sludge, wine vinasse and poultry manure for bio-hydrogen production

The influence of the addition poultry manure on thermophilic acid co-fermentation sewage sludge and wine vinasse was studied. For this, discontinuous tests were carried out to determine potential for hydrogen production (BHP tests) 50:50 mixtures with different amounts (10 g/L, 20 g/L 30 g/L). performance determined under tested conditions. experimental results revealed values TCOD SCOD, TS VS, similar in all tests, removal efficiencies lower than 25%. Likewise, an increase volatile fatty acids observed. Regarding yield, best obtained mixture 10 (with a C/N ratio: 27). Thus, H2 yield expressed as mL H2/gVSadded 18.20% 27.57% higher test compared g/L. Furthermore, from manure, showed poorer purification behavior performance.
