An Overmodulation Strategy for Matrix Converter Under Unbalanced Input Voltages

In this article, an improved space vector pulsewidth modulation strategy for matrix converter is proposed under unbalanced input voltages. First, to obtain the higher output voltage, two novel strategies based on linear superimposition principle are presented by modifying magnitude of reference voltage and current vectors. Second, in order evaluate performance strategy, harmonic characteristics currents voltages quantitatively analyzed employing double Fourier integral transform method. The novelty article lies not only modification a conventional voltages, but also quantitative analysis that accurately evaluates overmodulation with unbalance using approach. Finally, correctness method verified comprehensive simulation experimental results converters.
