Abstract Most parts of the Earth’s surface are situated in deep ocean. To explore this visually rather adversarial environment with cameras, they have to be protected by pressure housings. These housings, turn, need interfaces world, enduring extreme pressures within water column. Commonly, a flat window or half-sphere glass, called flat-port dome-port, respectively is used implement such kind interface. Hence, multi-media interfaces, between water, glass and air introduced, entailing refraction effects images taken through them. obtain unbiased 3D measurements yield geometrically faithful reconstruction scene, it mandatory deal proper manner. we propose an optical digital twin underwater environment, which has been verified resemble real lab tank that features two most common interfaces.
