An Integrative View of Knowledge Processes and a Learning Culture for Ambidexterity: Toward Improved Organizational Performance in the Banking Sector

Banks are the backbone of financial sector and catalysts in economic development any country. Current changes their global business ecosystem make knowledge about fund-supplying fund-demanding parties society a key resource for fulfillment banks' investment saving functions. This paper addresses relationship between performance learning culture that is supported by processes within organization. Given relevance this subject organizations from most knowledge-intensive domains, research has focused on Spanish banking sector. Using structural equation model, feedback received 215 employees 142 individual branches major institution Spain studied. The results data analysis show addition to maximizing what already known customer base, employees' potential new stakeholders also internal strategies, tools, techniques directly related bank's performance, which, turn, influences recovery socio-economic development.
