An Innovative Framework for Coincidental Correctness Impacting on Fault Localization

An important research aspect of Spectrum-Based Fault Localization (SBFL) is the influence factors effectiveness suspiciousness formulas from perspective symmetry. Coincidental correctness one most impacting formulas. The fault localization by coincidental has attracted a large amount in empirical study; however, it can hardly be considered as sufficiently comprehensive when there are number symmetrical Therefore, we first develop an innovative theoretical framework with function derivation investigating impacted correctness. We define three types relations between affected correctness: namely, improved type, invariant type and uncertain type. investigated 30 using this group them into categories. Furthermore, conduct study to verify SBFL on four relatively C programs. proved that positive effect 23 out these formulas, no 5 them, remaining 2 depend certain conditions. experimental results show some enhanced remain unchanged.
