چکیده
Road feature extraction from the remote sensing images is an arduous task and has a significant role in various applications of urban planning, updating maps, traffic management, etc. In this paper, new band combination (B652) to form road index (RI) OLI multispectral bands based on spectral reflectance asphalt, presented for extraction. The B652 converted by normalization. morphological operators (top-hat or bottom-hat) uses RI enhance roads. To sharpen edges better discrimination features, shock square filter (SSF), proposed. Then, iterative adaptive threshold (IAT) online search with variational min-max Markov random fields (MRF) model are used SSF image segment roads non-roads. extracting using rules connected component analysis. IAT MRF segmentation methods prove proposed able extract features productively. methodology saturation thresholding morphology (SATM), (SMRF), applied several cities India, producing satisfactory results. experimental results quantitative analysis paper.

This paper presents the vicarious calibration results of Landsat 8 OLI that were obtained using the reflectance-based approach at test sites in Nevada, California, Arizona, and South Dakota, USA. Additional data were obtained using the Radiometric Calibration Test Site, which is a suite of instruments located at Railroad Valley, Nevada, USA. The results for the top-of-atmosphere spectral radian...
متن کاملRadiometric Cross-Calibration of GF-4 PMS Sensor Based on Assimilation of Landsat-8 OLI Images
Earth observation data obtained from remote sensors must undergo radiometric calibration before use in quantitative applications. However, the large view angles of the panchromatic multispectral sensor (PMS) aboard the GF-4 satellite pose challenges for cross-calibration due to the effects of atmospheric radiation transfer and the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF). To addre...
متن کاملOcean Color Measurements from Landsat-8 OLI using SeaDAS
The Operational Land Imager (OLI) is a multi-spectral radiometer hosted on the recently launched Landsat-8 satellite. OLI includes a suite of relatively narrow spectral bands at 30-meter spatial resolution in the visible to shortwave infrared that make it a potential tool for ocean color radiometry: measurement of the reflected spectral radiance upwelling from beneath the ocean surface that car...
متن کاملDynamic Threshold Selection for the Classification of Large Water Bodies within Landsat-8 OLI Water Index Images
Surface water distribution extracted from remote sensing data has been used in water resource assessment, coastal management, and environmental change studies. Traditional manual methods for extracting water bodies cannot satisfy the requirements for mass processing of remote sensing data; therefore, accurate automated extraction of such water bodies has remained a challenge. The histogram bimo...
متن کاملAn efficient method for cloud detection based on the feature-level fusion of Landsat-8 OLI spectral bands in deep convolutional neural network
Cloud segmentation is a critical pre-processing step for any multi-spectral satellite image application. In particular, disaster-related applications e.g., flood monitoring or rapid damage mapping, which are highly time and data-critical, require methods that produce accurate cloud masks in a short time while being able to adapt to large variations in the target domain (induced by atmospheric c...
