An Incidental Myxoma Hidden in Chest Pain

Chest pain is a very common symptom in an emergency context. Its differential diagnosis extensive and includes some conditions that require immediate recognition intervention. It can also be associated with rarer diagnostic possibilities. Here, we report the case of 53-year-old woman admitted to department due chest initially diagnosed non-ST elevation acute myocardial infarction. A transthoracic echocardiogram revealed large hyperechogenic round mass, suggestive left atrial cardiac myxoma. Coronary angiography showed no significant lesions. The patient underwent surgery excision whose histological was postoperative period uneventful, discharged asymptomatic without echocardiographic changes. Cardiac tumors are rare finding, which myxomas most common. Symptoms typically result from embolism, obstruction, or constitutional symptoms. myxoma presenting as mimicking coronary syndrome uncommon finding. This reminds us extremely awakens usefulness importance using echocardiography tool.
