An experimental setup for dip-coating of thin films for organic solar cells under microgravity conditions

We report the design and testing of a custom-built experimental setup for dip-coating from volatile solutions under microgravity conditions onboard an aircraft. Function safety considerations equipment are described. The proved to work well, both concerning preparation thin films. No leakage solvents, nor solvent vapors, was detected, not even in situation with fluctuating gravitational field due bad weather conditions. have shown that can be used prepare films polymer blends, relevant organic solar cells, solution feasible procedure prepared similar corresponding 1 g conditions, but differences related absence during drying applied liquid coating. on some introductory results characterization show film morphology structure sizes.
