An EOQ inventory model for deteriorating items with controllable deterioration rate under stock-dependent demand rate and non-linear holding cost

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the retailer's strategy in selecting order-up-to level, reorder point and preservation technology investment for deteriorating items, aiming maximize his total profit per unit time. We formulate problem into a mathematical model that takes account stock-dependent demand rate, holding cost. The terminal conditions are relaxed allow can be one following two cases: (1) <inline-formula><tex-math id="M1">\begin{document}$ N\leq0 $\end{document}</tex-math></inline-formula>, i.e., may negative or zero. When negative, shortage allowed partial backlogged. (2) id="M2">\begin{document}$ N\geq0 without prove existence uniqueness optimal under any given them both cases. then present an algorithm search decision variables such time maximized. Finally, numerical examples, comparisons performance sensitivity analysis carried out examine results obtained. On basis above results, some useful managerial insights revealed.</p>
