An Efficient Slotted Waveguide Antenna System Integrated with Inside-Grooves and Modified Gaussian Slot Distribution

In this work, an efficient slotted waveguide antenna (SWA) system is designed for S-band high power microwave (HPM) applications. The SWA comprises of 10-slot elements placed on the broad wall with a modified Gaussian distribution (MGD), integrated two inside-grooves and dielectric radome high-density polyethylene (HDPE) material. are introduced to suppress surface current waveguide, which results in gain as well sidelobe level (SLL) reduction E-plane. MGD controls SLLs, unique profile shape offers constant radiation characteristics. proposed system, within existing size constraints, 20.1 dBi conjunction high-power handling capability greater than 100 MW. has compact dimensions 8.46λ0 × 1.38λ0 1.50λ0, SLLs −20 dB −22 H- E-plane, respectively. HPM radiating at 3 GHz, fabricated aluminium material using milling process. simulated good agreement measured results. Moreover, clear advantages terms its robustness, design simplicity, capability, gain.
