In this work, lossless compression is considered and an efficient Encryption–then-compression (ETC) scheme proposed for medical images. A considerably good level of security achieved by the where image encryption operated in prediction error domain. addition, reasonably encrypted images achieved. Comparison done between Gradient adjusted (GAP) & Median Edge Detector (MED) techniques GAP found to perform better with respect PSNR, bit rate entropy. The average values entropy decibels MED predictor are 10.8313, 3.7695 3.8624 respectively. Similarly, predictor, 11.9025, 4.0279 4.1286
