An Automated Framework for Screening of Glaucoma using Cup-to-Disc Ratio and ISNT Rule with a Support Vector Machine

Glaucoma is a common eye disease that damages an optic nerve due to abnormally high pressure inside the eye. can cause visual impairments and eventually lead blindness. There no appropriate treatment prevent blindness when damaged. Therefore, early diagnosis important vision loss from glaucoma. An automated framework for glaucoma screening fundus images advantageous. It facilitate ophthalmologist in Many algorithms have been developed based on clinical indicator, cup-to-disc ratio (CDR). However, these some limitations myopia genetically large cup eyes. this paper proposes be applied even myopia. The 2 indicators, (CDR) neuroretinal rim area rule (inferior > superior nasal temporal (ISNT)), are proposed algorithm accurate assessment. Moreover, automatic classification of or non-glaucoma performed by support vector machine (SVM). experimental results show accurately classify normal eyes myopic eyes.
