An Analysis of Movement Activities Curriculum and Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in Kenya

Research has shown that Physical education (PE) and sports programmes, currently referred to as Movement activities in the lower primary Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) Kenya, impacts on physical, mental, social emotional growth of individuals. The programmes produce individuals who are competent, confident endowed with knowledge, skills attitudes for lifelong physical activity. To some extent, contribute societal development, which leads achievement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). aim current analysis was find extent movement CBC is geared towards SDGs using Posner’s curriculum framework. findings show committed achieving instance, good health quality education.
