چکیده

Abstract: Introduction: Tablet is the preferred drug dosage form. Cellulose fiber (Micro Crystalline Cellulose) major excipient used. For chronic diseases, frequent required resulting in cumulative load and tachyphylaxis due to drug. We intent invent excipients from vegetable sources mitigate above challenges reduce as sufferers (Diabetes mellitus) requires lifelong treatment. Aims Objectives: To develop an Brassica oleracea Vigna radiata sprouting which can regulate delivery, avoid led toxicity tachyphylaxis. Materials Methods: Alkali acid based depolymerization method was followed cellulose fibers were studied for safety, physical, chemical molecular parameters. With developed two drugs formulated using Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient- Metformin Miglitol. Efficacy assayed cell lines-Neuroblastoma, Kidney HK-2, L6 Myoblasts, 3T3-L1 Preadipocytes, INS-1 HEPG 2 hepatocytes compared with conventional micro crystalline cellulose- formulations. Results: Characterization of done comparison cellulose, invented had long fibers, higher bulk density, flow, even particle size cellulose. Dissolution disintegration slow Miglitol showed quick release excipient. Therapeutic effect both excipient-based by culture assay. Both did not show mutagenic effect. Conclusion: slows metformin; may dosage, tachyphylaxis, rapid, compliment metformin therapy. Keywords: Herbal excipients, Microcrystalline Tachyphylaxis, Vegetable source excipient, oleracea, radiata, Metformin,

Ion-exchange, an Approach to Prepare an Oral Floating Drug Delivery System for Diclofenac

Using ion-exchange resins, a multiple-unit type of oral floating dosage system has been prepared to prolong gastric emptying time of dosage form. The system is composed of beads of drug-resin complex, which are loaded with bicarbonate ions and coated with a hydrophobic polymer. The system is so designed that when the beads reach the stomach, chloride ions are exchanged with bicarbonate and drug...

Extemporaneous compounding of oral liquid dosage formulations and alternative drug delivery methods for anticancer drugs.

Oncology pharmacists face a constant challenge with patients who cannot swallow oral anticancer drugs, making extemporaneous oral liquid preparation a requirement. Improper extemporaneous preparation of these agents, especially with the traditional chemotherapy with a narrow therapeutic index, may increase the risk of over- or underdosing. In community pharmacies, multiple barriers exist that p...
