In this paper, E. C. Large’s 1956 novel Dawn in Andromeda is examined, using literary analysis, as a work of public history science. The recounts how God places pioneer population on new planet, challenging them to from nothing the creation ‘seven-valve all-wave superhet wireless’ single generation. On general level, article presents science firmly rooted human and material efforts engineering. As such, it shown chime more particularly with hopeful definitions explored by wireless enthusiasts first generation fiction fans Britain during 1930s.
