Abstract Given the significant changes taking place in geopolitical global situation, and derived supply chain issues for some traditional electric propulsion propellants like xenon, alternative issue is perceived as a strategic topic to tackle, ammonia (NH3) becoming one serious candidate. Ammonia increasingly being investigated extend green hydrogen use by overcoming storage transportation of hydrogen. characteristics its superior energy density low temperature and/or pressure needs (10 bar at 20°C liquid ammonia), make it very valuable simplified unexpensive transportation, these makes also especially suitable on-board spacecrafts purposes. Based on our research activities generation dissociation processes with C12A7:e- electride catalyst, this work will describe most relevant properties associated advantages using cheap abundant ammonia, present discuss results first successful tests performed fuel based neutralizer, including endurance operation conditions. Additionally, dual application propellant system be discussed.
