چکیده

The experiment was conducted at Adami Tulu Agricultural Research Center (ATARC), Lume and Dugda Districts during the 2019 2020 main cropping seasons to identify adaptable high yielder snap bean genotypes for East Shewa Zone similar agro ecologies. Ten were used as planting material. laid down in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. AMMI model shows that environment accounted 40.93%, GXE 31.79%, genotype 12.70% of total variation. percentage indicates major factor influencing yield performance beans is environment. first two IPCAs are most accurate could predict genotype’s stability explained by IPCA-I (53.10%) IPCA-II (21.1%) GEI. This result revealed there differential performances among across testing environments due presence According parameters (ASV, GGE Biplot) mean results G-24 G-12 stable test locations. Therefore, proposed candidate possible release.

Influence of atmospheric vapour pressure deficit on ozone responses of snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes

Environmental conditions influence plant responses to ozone (O(3)), but few studies have evaluated individual factors directly. In this study, the effect of O(3) at high and low atmospheric vapour pressure deficit (VPD) was evaluated in two genotypes of snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) (R123 and S156) used as O(3) bioindicator plants. Plants were grown in outdoor controlled-environment chamber...

Chlorophyll Content of Persistent - Green and Normal Snap Bean Pods ( Phaseolus vulgaris L

Chlorophyll concns decreased rapidly as pods matured from the 1-day-old fruit stage. Total ' chlorophyll a + b per pod was influenced by pod length as well as pigment concn. Apparent chlorophyll synthesis occurred in field-grown green snap bean fruits up to 11-mm diam pods (sieve size 5 or 6), but a net decrease occurred with further maturation. Dry-mature persistent-green pods contained 300 pp...

Biplot Analysis for Evaluation of Tolerance in Some Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Genotypes to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BCMV)

The common bean is the most important grain legume for direct human consumption in the world and BCMV is one of the world's most serious bean diseases that can reduce yield and quality of harvested product. To determine the best tolerance index to BCMV and recognize tolerant genotypes, 2 experiments were conducted in field conditions. Twenty five common bean genotypes were sown in 2 separate RC...

Effect of genotypes-Rhizobium-environment interaction on nodulation and productivity of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in eastern Ethiopia

Background: Effectiveness of Rhizobium inoculation is determined by common bean genotypes. Environmental factors also affect common bean genotypes-Rhizobium-symbiosis. The effect of common bean genotypes-Rhizobium strains-environment interaction on nodulation and common bean production is not well studied. Three genotypes (Dursitu, Gofta, and Kufanzik) and eight selected isolates of common bean...
