Amelioration potential of Moringa oleifera extracts against sodium arsenate induced embryotoxicity and genotoxicity in mouse (Mus musculus)

Abstract Previous studies have suggested that arsenic crosses the placenta and affects fetus development. The study under consideration aims to show comparative ameliorative effect of Moringa oleifera leaf flower extracts against sodium arsenate induced toxicity mice. Pregnant mice (N=44) were kept in lab divided into eleven group from (A K) orally administered doses 6 mg/kg, 12 mg/kg for arsenate, 150 300 (MOLE) (MOFE) comparing with control. investigation revealed evident reduction fetuses weight, hind limb, fore tail snout length, crown rump head circumferences well as malformations tail, feet, arms, legs, skin eyes negative control (only arsenate). Co-administration MOLE MOFE ameliorate reversed on shape, body weight DNA damage significantly at 95% confidence interval. However, extract showed more significant results comparison extract. Hence concluded ameliorated embryo toxic effects can be used environmental teratogens.
