چکیده

The flexural beam test EN 14488-3 is considered a reference for the characterization of post-cracking tensile response fibre-reinforced sprayed concrete (FRSC). However, geometry specimens complication in case characterising extracted from structure. double punch (DPT) and double-edge wedge splitting (DEWS) are two alternative approaches that have been introduced to simplify assessment concrete. These tests could allow characterisation samples panels or even existing structures. objective this experimental study demonstrate possibility correlate 14488-3, DPT DEWS tests, verify capacity these predicting constitutive model FRSC. results indicated high correlations (R2 above 0.98) between tests. models obtained were close those determined employing test. Both can replace systematic quality control confirmation design parameters FRSC requires more time prepare specimens, being appropriate parameterize DPT, due its simplicity execution, becomes practical Specimen with different size subjected show similar residual strength pattern.

Behaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs

This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs

The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...

Strength and Permeability Characteristics of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete

The results reported in this paper are the part of an extensive laboratory investigation undertaken to study the effects of fibre parameters on the permeability and strength characteristics of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC). The effect of varying fibre content and curing age on the water permeability, compressive and split tensile strengths of SFRC was investigated using straight steel ...

Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Concrete With Steel And

The experimental study deals with Hybrid fibre reinforced concrete with the use of (Polypropylene and Recycled polyethylene terephthalate RPET). The M40 grade concrete used was designed by using IS10262-2009 code. The steel fibre and synthetic fibre were added at the volume fractions up to 0.5%. Test results showed that the fibres, when used in a hybrid form, could result in superior composite ...

Strength Development and Water Permeability of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete

Research reported in this paper was carried to study the water permeability of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) with varied aspect ratios of steel fibres. Corrugated steel fibres were used in the investigation at constant fibre content of 0.5%. Relationship of water permeability with compressive strength and split tensile strengths has been presented. The water permeability was observed t...
