چکیده
Superconductor technology has recently attracted increasing attention in power-generation- and electrical-propulsion-related domains, as it provides a solution to the limited power density seen by core component, electrical machines. Superconducting machines, characterized both high efficiency, can effectively reduce size mass compared conventional machine designs. This opens way large-scale purely applications, e.g., all-electrical aircrafts. The alternating current (AC) loss of superconductors caused time-varying transport currents or magnetic fields (or both) impaired efficiency reliability superconducting bringing severe challenges cryogenic systems, too. Although much research been conducted terms qualitative quantitative analysis AC its reduction methods, remains crucial problem for design highly efficient especially those operating at speeds future aviation. Given that critical review on advancement regarding not reported during last dozen years, combined with this paper aims clarify status provide useful reference researchers working adopted materials, analytical formulae, modelling measurement approaches, well techniques low-temperature (LTSs) high-temperature (HTSs) low- high-frequency have systematically analyzed summarized. Based authors’ previous characteristics HTS coated conductors (CCs), stacks, coils frequencies, existing quantification methods elucidated, multiple suggestions respect machines put forward. article reviews applied first time. It is believed help deepen understanding deliver helpful guideline development superconductivity.

متن کاملElectrical stimulation using kilohertz-frequency alternating current.
Transcutaneous electrical stimulation using kilohertz-frequency alternating current (AC) became popular in the 1950s with the introduction of "interferential currents," promoted as a means of producing depth-efficient stimulation of nerve and muscle. Later, "Russian current" was adopted as a means of muscle strengthening. This article reviews some clinically relevant, laboratory-based studies t...

A Nb(3)Sn superconductor has been fabricated in rods and tapes by the interaction of the tin contained in a copper-tin alloy with niobium which had been in contact with the alloy material. This conductor has lower alternating-current (60 hertz) losses than any presently available commercial products.

متن کاملOverview and Comparison of Iron Loss Models for Electrical Machines
One important factor in the design process and optimization of electrical machines and drives are iron losses in the core. By using new composite materials and low-loss electrical SiFe steels, the losses in the magnetic ux conducting parts of the machine can be reduced signi cantly. However, it is necessary to have accurate but also easy implementable iron loss models to take the loss e ects in...
