Alterations of RNA splicing patterns in esophagus squamous cell carcinoma

چکیده
Abstract Alternative splicing (AS) is an important biological process for regulating the expression of various isoforms from a single gene and thus to promote proteome diversity. In this study, RNA-seq data 15 pairs matched esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) normal tissue samples as well two lines were analyzed. AS events with significant differences identified between ESCC tissues, which re-annotated find protein coding genes or non-coding RNAs. A total 45,439 found. Of these, 6019 (13.25%) differentially identified. Exon skipping (SE) occupied largest proportion abnormal events. Fifteen differential same trends ΔΨ values in Four pathways 20 processes related pro-metastasis junction migration significantly enriched spliced genes. The upregulated factor SF3B4, regulates 92 events, could be potential prognostic ESCC. Differentially genes, including HNRNPC, VCL, ZNF207, KIAA1217, TPM1 CALD1 are shown sashimi plot. These results suggest that junction- migration-related influenced by abnormalities, aberrant can affected changes. involved SF3B4 was found survival-related presumed regulate multiple cancers. summary, we expressed may development

Prevalence of Nucleotide Alterations of EGFR Gene in Patients with Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Kerman
Background & Aims: Esophageal Cancer is the sixth fatal cancer in the world. Squamous and adenocarcinoma account for 95% of esophageal cancer. The expression of EGFR has a role in the pathophysiology of epidermal-based malignancies such as esophageal cancer. EGFR is also an important criterion in the evaluation of disease staging and prognosis. The aim of this study was to survey the prevalence...
متن کاملSquamous cell carcinoma in Barrett's esophagus.
Barrett's esophagus (BE), consequence of chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), is a premalignant condition, capable of turning into adenocarcinoma (ACa). However, the presence ofsquamous cell carcinoma (SCa) coexisting with Barrett's metaplasia is reported in some papers. The aim of this paper is to present 17 patients involving synchronous BE and SCa.
متن کاملPrimary combined adenoid cystic carcinoma, basaloid squamous cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus.
basaloid squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus are rare [1–4], while esophageal combined carcinoma is very rare [5]. Most cases of combined carcinoma of the esophagus consist of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and small cell carcinoma [5]. This is the first report of combined adenoid cystic carcinoma, basaloid squamous cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. A ...
متن کاملSquamous Cell Carcinoma and Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Colliding in the Esophagus
A collision tumor consists of two independent neoplasms growing in close proximity until they become juxtaposed, appearing as one lesion. This is a very rare situation with unclear physiopathology. Collision tumors should be distinguished from composite tumors, which consist of one neoplastic clone that diverges into two cell lineages. Collisions located in the esophagus are particularly uncommon.
متن کاملExpression of deltaNp63 in squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus.
BACKGROUND The p63 gene is present as two isoforms, namely TAp63 and deltaNp63. The biological role of deltaNp63 in the progression of esophageal cancer is still controversial. PATIENTS AND METHODS The expression of deltaNp63, as well as that of p63, was immunohistochemically examined in 61 resected specimens of squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. RESULTS The incidences of a positive ...
