ALMA Survey of Orion Planck Galactic Cold Clumps (ALMASOP): A Hot Corino Survey toward Protostellar Cores in the Orion Cloud

Abstract The presence of complex organic molecules (COMs) in the interstellar medium is great interest since it may link to origin and prevalence life universe. Aiming investigate occurrence COMs their possible origins, we conducted a chemical census toward sample protostellar cores as part Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array Survey Orion Planck Galactic Cold Clumps project. We report detection 11 hot corino sources, which exhibit compact emissions from warm abundant COMs, among 56 Class 0/I cores. All sources discovered are likely 0, sizes region (>100 K) comparable 100 au. luminosity exhibits positive correlations with total number methanol extent its emissions. Such consistent thermal desorption picture for corinos suggest that lower-luminosity (Class 0) have smaller COM With same selection method criteria being applied, rates cloud (15/37) Perseus (28/50) statistically similar when distances limited size considered. Observing set transitions will bring more informative comparison between properties.
