ALLELOPATHY AND FIRE CYCLE IN BRAZILIAN CERRADO

چکیده
Allelopathy refers to the effect of biochemical interactions from one plant another including inhibitory and stimulatory effects. The products, allelochemicals are highly toxic, production these compounds not only can be stimulated by plants microorganism, but also environment factors e.g. water stress, nutrient deficiency temperature where conditions commonly found in cerrado enviroment. Cerrado region is rich which produce secondary metabolite, especially phenolic numerous vegetations have been investigated their effects on other crops developments. It known that allelopathy a key process regulating regeneration many world ecosystems savanna/cerrado. interest allelopathic study shrub rises as result inadequate natural reduced growth planted seedlings has attributed release herbaceous vegetation. Fires, whether they or human made, common characteristic this biome its presence considered an important ecological factor responsible for species diversity. Following fire, negative removed reduced. However, associated with seedling survival, caused toxin, low soil fertility, water, temperatures animal predation. This paper reviews vegetation launched toxic plants, savanna fire post-fire impacts. In general, main objective point out fire-related impacts provide us solve issues concerning sustainable development cerrado.

Seasonality effect on the allelopathy of cerrado species.
The Brazilian cerrado presents strong climate seasonality. During the dry season, plants may be exposed to stressful situations, such as a soil surface water deficit, that stimulate their chemical defenses. However, the seasonality effect on the production of allelopathic compounds of cerrado plant species is poorly understood. In this study, the phytotoxic activities of common native cerrado p...
متن کاملBrazilian Cerrado Soil Actinobacteria Ecology
A total of 2152 Actinobacteria strains were isolated from native Cerrado (Brazilian Savannah) soils located in Passos, Luminárias, and Arcos municipalities (Minas Gerais State, Brazil). The soils were characterised for chemical and microbiological analysis. The microbial analysis led to the identification of nine genera (Streptomyces, Arthrobacter, Rhodococcus, Amycolatopsis, Microbacterium, Fr...
متن کاملBioactive Compounds Found in Brazilian Cerrado Fruits
Functional foods include any natural product that presents health-promoting effects, thereby reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Cerrado fruits are considered a source of bioactive substances, mainly phenolic compounds, making them important functional foods. Despite this, the losses of natural vegetation in the Cerrado are progressive. Hence, the knowledge propagation about the importance o...
متن کاملModelling Fire Frequency in a Cerrado Savanna Protected Area
Covering almost a quarter of Brazil, the Cerrado is the world's most biologically rich tropical savanna. Fire is an integral part of the Cerrado but current land use and agricultural practices have been changing fire regimes, with undesirable consequences for the preservation of biodiversity. In this study, fire frequency and fire return intervals were modelled over a 12-year time series (1997-...
متن کاملThe Brazilian Cerrado Vegetation and Threats to its Biodiversity
The Brazilian cerrado (savanna) biome covers 2 million km# representing 23% of the area of the country. It is an ancient biome with rich biodiversity, estimated at 160000 species of plants, fungi and animals. There are about 800 species of trees and large shrubs in the savanna vegetation and several times that number of ground species (herbs and subshrubs). When the flora of gallery forests, me...
