چکیده
N2 fixation into NH3 is one of the main processes in chemical industry. Plasma catalysis among environmentally friendly alternatives to industrial energy-intensive Haber-Bosch process. However, many questions remain open, such as applicability conventional catalytic knowledge plasma. In this work, we studied performance Al2O3-supported Fe, Ru, Co and Cu catalysts plasma-catalytic synthesis a DBD reactor. We investigated effects different active metals, ratios feed gas components, on concentration production rate NH3, energy consumption plasma system. The results show that trend metal activity (common for thermal catalysis) does not appear case catalysis: here, all metals exhibited similar performance. These findings are good agreement with our recently published microkinetic model. This highlights virtual independence catalyst material, thus validating model indicating potential contribution radical adsorption Eley-Rideal reactions mechanism synthesis.

Exploring the Catalytic Activity of Zirconia, Zirconia Supported Metals and Metal Oxides for Oxidation of Phenol
Catalytic oxidation/degradation of phenol with molecular oxygen in aqueous medium by Zirconia, zirconia supported metals and metal oxides at low temperature were studied in a three necked batch reactor. The catalysts prepared were characterized by modern techniques like XRD, SEM and EDX. The activities of different catalysts for the oxidation of phenol in aqueous medium were found to be in the ...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...
15 صفحه اولCatalytic and Non-catalytic Conversion of Methane to C2 Hydrocarbons in a Low Temperature Plasma
The direct conversion of methane to C2 hydrocarbons, in a quartz tube reactor enforced by a DC corona discharge, was investigated at atmospheric pressure. The process was carried out in the presence of metal oxide catalysts of Mn/W/SiO2, Mn/W/SiO2 (tetraethyl orthosilicate, TEOS), and Mn/W/CNT (supported on carbon nanotubes). The total yield to C2 hydrocarbons in the presence of metal oxide cat...
متن کاملUnderwater operation of a DBD plasma jet
A plasma jet produced in water using a submerged ac excited electrode in a coaxial dielectric barrier discharge configuration was studied. Plasma jet formation was found to occur only while the source was submerged. Plasma jet operation was characterized with and without gas flow. It was found that over 60% of the discharge power was deposited into the water and did not vary appreciably with ex...
متن کاملInsights into a plasma membrane signature.
The plasma membrane (PM) is an organized biological system that serves as a structural barrier and communication interface with the extracellular environment. Many basic questions regarding the PM as a system remain unanswered. In particular, we do not understand the scope of similarity and differences in protein expression at the PM. This study takes an initial step toward addressing these que...
