Airflow to disperse refrigerant leaks from hydrocarbon refrigeration systems✰

چکیده
Whilst R290 is currently used to a limited extent in room air conditioners there desire for wider application due its excellent performance and negligible global warming potential. The product standard IEC 60335–2–40 specifies requirements limit the allowable refrigerant charge such way that it obstructs use of R290. Airflow an indoor unit can be dilute leak, enabling substantially greater quantities used. A numerical model based on entrainment theory was developed supported by analysing behaviour experimentally simulated releases under various conditions with airflow. work determines minimum airflow rate necessary prevent formation flammable concentration within room. Further, includes determination appropriate response time leak initiate once has begun. methodology equally applied commercial refrigeration units other refrigerants.

Performance and Leakage Investigations of Refrigeration and Airconditioning Systems Using Refrigerant Mixtures as Working Fluids
In spite of the advantages of zeotropic refrigerant mixtur~" [1], the industrial >tpplications of mixtures have been very limited up to now. The major problem is seen iu the leakages occuring in refrigeration plants and so a possible change in composition. Another disadvantage is that no simple methods for determination of the concentratiou insick the t:ydc i\rc available. This paper pre$ents t...
متن کاملRheology of Disperse Systems
The rheology of disperse systems is an important processing parameter. Being able to characterize and manipulate the flow behavior of dispersions one can ensure their optimal performance. Waterborne automotive coatings, for example, should exhibit a distinct low-shear viscosity necessary to provide good leveling but to avoid sagging at the same time. Then, a strong degree of shear thinning is n...
متن کاملOptimal Synthesis of a Cascade Refrigeration System of LNG Through MINLP Model for Pure Refrigerant Cycles
liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the most economical way of transporting natural gas (NG) over long distances. Liquefaction of NG by using vapor compression refrigeration system requires high operating and capital cost. Due to lack of systematic design methods for multistage refrigeration cycles, the conventional approaches of determining optimal cycle configuration are mostly based on trial-an...
