In particular, lack quantitative evaluation methods excessive subjectivity represent key obstacles effective selection models areas. This paper proposes framework that integrates analytic hierarchy process (AHP) entropy weight method (EWM). The comprehensively considers settlement characteristics area, its geographic location, water index, vegetation index. These variables used indicators develop upon which different zones be quantitatively analyzed. demonstrated using examples three Huainan Huaibei China, relevant data were collected processed with help field surveys, remote sensing images, prediction software. Applying novel framework, most suitable each area was obtained determined consistent recommendations panel composed multiple experts. has high efficacy potential overcome It also envisaged future incorporation into user-friendly software package will significantly improve efficiency selected.
