Agronomic Performance of Rainfed Barley Genotypes under Different Tillage Systems in Highland Areas of Dryland Conditions

چکیده
Conservation agriculture (CA) is becoming increasingly attractive to farmers due advantages such as lower production costs and less destruction of soil structures compared the conventional tillage. The cultivars introduced for systems may not be suitable under CA environments, newly adapted need developed. Accordingly, four separate field experiments were conducted over two cropping seasons (2018–2019 2019–2020) study agronomic performance seven barley genotypes three tillage systems: (full with residue removed), reduced (chisel plowing retained) system (no retained on surface). grown rainfed conditions in different agro-ecological regions (Kamyaran Hosseinabad locations) west Iran. Significant genotypic differences observed grain yield components except 1000-kernel weight. results this showed that a produced yields equal to, or better (0.7%) than, tillage; while decreased their by 4.9%. Regarding genotype × interaction, Catalhuyuk 2001 Bulbule positively interacted higher than other genotypes, whereas Çumra 2001, Ansar Abidar expressed highest system. Consequently, Bulbule, Gumharriyet 50 outperformed domestic amount adaptation tested environments. present could useful improve efficiency cultivation open new windows cereal arid semi-arid food security concerns.

The popularity of reduced-tillage cropping systems has emphasized the need to determine if maize (Zea mays L.) developed under conventional tillage systems (moldboard plow, disk, and harrow) is readily adaptable to conservation production syst...
متن کاملSoil Physical Properties Due to Different Tillage Systems in Dryland Regions of Northwestern Iran
Lack of sufficient information on conservation tillage systems leads to the dominating use of conventional tillage practice in most parts of Iran. Testing other management practices may help in decision making regarding the types of tillage systems that reduce soil deterioration. A three- years field experiment was conducted to study the effects of conventional (CT), reduced (RT) and no-till (N...

the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...
Effect of urea and nitrapyrine on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of barley cultivars (Hordeum vulgare L.) under different tillage conditions
Tillage methods are among the most successful factors in agriculture that have a significant impact on the quality and quantity of agronomic plants. To evaluate different tillage methods and urea fertilizer with nitrapyrin on total chlorophyll content, grain protein, yield, and yield components of two barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars, an experiment was conducted as split factorial in the r...

mapping the QTLs of agronomic and physiological traits, 149 double haploid (DH) lines from a cross between an Australian cultivar, Clipper (salt susceptible), and an Algerian landrace, Sahara3771 (salt tolerant), were evaluated under natural saline (Yazd Station, ECsoil=10-12.8 ds/m and ECwater= 9-10 ds/m) and normal (Karaj Station, ECsoil and ECwater ~2-2.5 ds/m) environments. There were remar...
