Agar/TiO2/radish anthocyanin/neem essential oil bionanocomposite bilayer films with improved bioactive capability and electrochemical writing property for banana preservation

Active agar (AG) bilayer films with bioactive capability and electrochemical writing property were developed for improving the postharvest quality of banana. The antioxidant antimicrobial capacity enhanced incorporation red radish extract (RRE) neem essential oil (NEO) into AG lower layer. barrier mechanical properties, retention total anthocyanin NEO content in effectively improved addition TiO2 upper Multicolor patterns successfully written on film containing RRE. AG-TiO2+AG-RRE-NEO exhibited optimal preservations banana fruits during storage period, based characterization by appearance, senescent spotting symptom, microbial analysis, weight loss firmness. Thus, was expected to be a multifunction packaging material preservation.
