چکیده
Aerobic composting and vermicomposting processes were compared in the co-composting of durian shells citrus peels. For decomposers, microorganism catalyst from Land Development Department, i.e., LDD1 catalyst, earthworms used. The moisture contents peels 84.6% 77.3%, respectively, pH relatively low, as these are sources potassium. experiments utilized four different reactors: (100%) reactor 1; (50% to 50% ratio) reactors 2 through 4; with catalysts 3 4. temperature, pH, content, electrical conductivity, NaCl, organic matter, carbon, C N ratio, nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), germination index, size compost analyzed according standards department (2013). Throughout process, tended increase, although peels, a low 3.95, used raw material. At end 4, which passed standard criteria, yielding index 90%.

Biotransformation of Biodegradable Solid Wastes into Organic Fertilizers using Composting or/and Vermicomposting
This review discusses the differences between composting and vermicomposting of biodegradable solid waste. Solid waste management is a major challenge worldwide due to the rise in population and industrialization, leading to larger amount of solid wastes being generated. Biological process has been widely recognized in converting solid organic materials into environmental friendly and value add...

Aims of the Study: The aim of this study was to determine the amount of lignin degradation and biodegradation of organic matter and change of biomass under compost and vermicomposting of sewage sludge. Materials & Methods: Sawdust was added to sewage sludge at 1:3 weight bases to Carbon to Nitrogen ratio of 25:1 for composting or vermicomposting. Lignin and volatile solids were deter...

Kuhlman, L.R., 1990. Window composting of agricultural and municipal wastes. Eur. Symp. on Integrated Resource Recovery from Municipal Solid Wastes. Resour. Conserv. Recycl., 4: 1 5 1 160. Many wastes are produced from agricultural and municipal facilities that are not suitable for direct land application. Composting these wastes converts them to a humus-containing organic material advantageous...
متن کاملComposting of Municipal Solid Wastes
The generation of municipal solid waste is increasing year by year and there are many options for handling and disposing of these wastes. Currently in United States land disposal is the most common practice to deal with municipal solid wastes. The evolution of waste generation, and increase in population suggest composting as a future alternative. Since municipal solid waste comprises of a high...
