چکیده
We present a new well model aimed at simulating deep and superhot geothermal wells within reservoir-scale flow models. The uses classic multi-segment approach to solve the hydrodynamics but also includes several important features significantly expanding its capabilities. Firstly, we use thermodynamic tables allowing us accurately fluids all relevant pressures, temperatures salinity conditions up magmatic conditions. can account for transport of dissolved NaCl salt potential precipitation in form halite. Secondly, an air phase incorporates transient displacement air-water interface well. This allows simulate starting using pressurization technique. Lastly, is coupled unstructured reservoir grid on which magma bodies feed zones be explicitly represented. paper introduces technical details presents applications showcasing what insights could gained concerning performance wells. conducted two sets simulation: first, simulated resource resulting from strongly enhanced heat flux with single feedzone; assessed effects feedzone's permeability, temperature initial performance. In second set simulations, used more realistic hydrothermal system, driven by intrusion. From results illustrate examples factors control ability self-start, if how aid wells, production supercritical created near intrusion may evolve over 200 years, halite rapidly clog case saline resources.

A Capillary Pressure Model for Geothermal Reservoirs
Abstract Steam-water capillary pressure is often either ignored or determined artificially in geothermal reservoir engineering. However steam-water capillary pressure plays an important role in geothermal reservoir performance and may not be substituted by air-water capillary pressure. To this end, preliminary mathematical models have been developed to calculate drainage and imbibition steam-wa...
متن کاملOptimization of well placement geothermal reservoirs using artificial intelligence
This research proposes a framework for determining the optimum location of an injection well using an inference method, artificial neural networks and a search algorithm to create a search space and locate the global maxima. A complex carbonate geothermal reservoir (Kizildere Geothermal field, Turkey) production history is used to evaluate the proposed framework. Neural networks are used as a t...

.n a number of geothermal systems, including the 3eysers (Ca), Lardarello (Italy) and Tongonan :Philippines), well logs indicate that in some parts of he reservoir, a two-phase vapouror liquid-dominated -egion is overlain by a colder liquid saturated zone. The stability of such systems is intriguing. Schubert md Straus (1980) have described how a liquid layer nay overly a model superheated vapo...
متن کاملSimulation of Radon Transport in Geothermal Reservoirs
The radon simulation model has been used to simulate radon concentration response during production drawdown and two flowrate transient tests in vapor-dominated systems. Comparison of model simulation with experimental data from field tests provides insight in the analysis of reservoir phenomena such as propagation of boiling fronts, and estimates of reservoir properties of porosity and permeab...
متن کاملGeothermal Reservoirs in Hydrothermal Convection Systems
T Abstract Geothermal reservoirs commonly exist in hydrothermal convection systems involving fluid circulation downward in areas of recharge and upwards in areas of discharge. Because such reservoirs are not isolated from their surroundings, the nature of thermal and hydrologic connections with the rest of the system may have significant effects on the natural state of the reservoir and on its ...
