چکیده
Abstract In this work, kaolinite clay was modified with magnetic magnetite nanoparticles (Fe 3 O 4 @MC) by co-precipitation ferrous and ferric ions as iron precursors to ameliorate its textural adsorption capacity for methylene blue (MB) dye uptake from synthetic wastewater at low concentrations. The adsorbents were characterized using XRD, BET surface area analysis, VSM, SEM HRTEM. after chemical treatment increased 14.616 26.913 m 2 g ?1 . saturation magnetization of Fe @MC 6.22 emu the exhausted adsorbent recoverable a simple magnet. Adsorption data modeled six nonlinear two-parameter isotherm equations, namely Freundlich, Temkin, Fowler–Guggenheim, Elovich, Flory–Huggins Langmuir model, best-fitting model arrived three mathematical error functions. MB onto unmodified best described Fowler–Guggenheim isotherm, whereas Freundlich model. Increase in theoretical experimental maximum

Equilibrium Isotherms and Kinetic Studies of Removal of Methylene Blue Dye by Adsorption onto Miswak Leaves as a Natural Adsorbent
In this research miswak leaves, agriculture wastes, available in large quantity in Saudi Arabia, was used as low-cost adsorbent for removing methylene blue (MB) dye. Equilibrium behavior of miswak leaves was investigated by performing batch adsorption experiments. The effects of [MB] 0, pH, contact time and adsorbent dose were evaluated. An alkaline pH (10.6) was favorable to the adsorption of ...

The kinetic study of methylene blue (MB) adsorption using acid-activated spent tea (AAST) as an adsorbent from aqueous solution with the aim of comparing linear and non-linear regression analysis methods was performed at varying initial MB concentrations (10-100 mg/l). Hence, spent tea leaves, which were activated using concentrated sulfuric acid, were prepared. The physicochemical characterist...
متن کاملRemoval of methylene blue from aqueous solutions using modified clay
Introduction: Discharging of industrial colored wastewaters especially into aqueous environments can cause adverse effects on aquatic life due to their toxic natures. In this study, montmorillonite modified by hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HDTMA-Mt) was used for the adsorption of methylene blue (MB). Materials and Methods: The influence of surfactant loading rate, contact time, pH, adso...
متن کاملRemoval of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption onto Crofton Weed Stalk
Crofton weed stalk (CWS) was used as an adsorbent to remove methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. The adsorbent was analyzed by FT-IR and observed by SEM. The porosity and pHzpc were measured. The effects of adsorbent dose, initial dye concentration, solution pH, and solution temperature were investigated. Models of the adsorption kinetics and isotherms were analyzed, and thermodynamic par...
