Adoption of Human Resource Information Systems on Public Sectors in Tanzania

Tanzania’s public sectors have begun to use Information Systems (IS) in various HR functions over the last fifteen years due increased of and Communication Technology (ICT). Organisations are increasingly implementing Human Resource (HRIS) ensure that their human resources used efficiently (HR). The purpose this study is investigate practices adoption resource information systems sectors. areas were drawn from eight districts Mwanza region with case design accompanied by a mixed method technique. population 75 employees who districts, yielding sample size 63 respondents. A non-probability sampling technique, known as purposive was employed get relevant Offices, ICT Officers, Head Departments size. survey questionnaires interviews methods for primary data collection self-administered closed-ended, 5-level Likert scale semi-structured interview questions formats tools collection. Statistics Package Social Science (SPSS) analyse descriptive inferential Quantitative Atlas.ti Qualitative data. results findings revealed HRIS has been useful management recommended all Tanzania should adopt reduce cost operations.
