Adnexal masses associated with pelvic pain: A review and commentary on the evidence

Pain in relation to the menstrual cycle is representative of Endometriosis. It has been reported that Endometriosis can be easily confounded with neoplasia. In clinical practice Gynecologic Oncology we find relative frequency patients who are unknown carriers endometriosis present and operated on because they resemble a picture gynecological cancer, predominantly ovary. Endometriomas form part differential diagnosis alongside various ovarian cystic formations.<br /> On other hand, tumors very common women reproductive age. Most benign, but malignant leading cause cancer death women.<br endometriosis, risk developing estimated up 50% higher than general population. The aim our concise review was establish current state knowledge regarding adnexal associated pelvic pain.
