چکیده

Abstract Continuous bio-signal monitoring with on-skin worn sensor devices enables out-of-hospital patient (i.e. ubiqutuous health-care) which has high potential to reduce various disease related societal costs through large-scale screening of the risk groups. However, novel fabrication methods need be adopted enable required deployment such devices. Additive technologies have emerged as candidate meet this challenge due their low material consumption, scalability and compatibility skin-conformable Tg polymeric substrates. This review article discusses recent advances in additively fabricated sensors focuses on following topics: 1) available additive technologies, 2) measurable mechanical thermal bio-signals 3) emerging field printed electronic tattoo (e-tattoo) type are discussed.

Environmental Monitoring by Eco-Friendly-Fabricated Carbon-Modified Electrode Sensors

Environmental monitoring is necessary to understand and evaluate the extent of pollution and eco-system disturbances and to work out remedial strategies. Electrochemical methods are attractive for environmental monitoring due to their capability for remote and in situ applications. The electrode-based sensors are prone to fine-tuning and modification to improve the selectivity and sensitivity f...

Tunability and enhancement of mechanical behavior with additively manufactured bio-inspired hierarchical suture interfaces

In nature, biological structures often exhibit complex geometries that serve a wide range of specific mechanical functions. One such example are the ammonites, a large group of extinct mollusks, which produced elaborate, fractal-like hierarchical suture interface patterns. This report experimentally explores the influence of hierarchical suture interface designs on mechanical behavior by taking...
